BTW, if you really want one the # 20 is for sale here, (in Miami) and can be had for a fairly decent price.

Since I only "need" one and just had mine serviced at Rolex NY I'm going to pass on it as I otherwise would have jumped on it.....

mhhmm, I need to try it before I buy it, you know. Im not sure if it fits. and Im a bit to scared to buy a watch over the net, especially if its not in germany. and miami is to far away just to travel down there

but now I know how the real deal looks, maybe i find one here.

Michael, there is one on sale here in Germany, too, at Grimmeisen or someone like that. If you were really interested, you could try it there! And if you really wanted that Midas from Florida then I am sure peope would help you get it. Or you buy a plane ticket for € 450.- and spend a weekend in the sun to return with your new watch

Hier an diesem Verschluß von Idel Swede sieht man die hochwerige verarbeitung, hochglaz Poliert, klasse gestempeltder Verschluß vom Themenstarter sieht dagegen aus wie vergoldeter Guß, Rauh, Uneben gestempelt , auch wenn die Verschlüsse unterschiedliche Bauart haben,Rolex würde sowas nicht verkaufen.Der Rückdeckel der Uhr Nr. 504 ist auch GG, soll aber nix heißen, wir warten also auf den Themenstarter , schließlich erwartet er von mir eine bittere Stellungnahme.

There was one at Linckersdorff in Berlin but it is now sold. Then there´s the one on eBay - this is a Cellini, not the real Midas - which should at least be alright for checking it on the wrist. It´s located in Tübingen.

How about: You book a flight and meet up with Leo in Florida, check his Midas, and if you like it, you buy the other one?

ah, I found one. aint even that far away from me. left crown with box, looks realy good and sharp. but 6k € is a bit expensive, or

yours is a cellini with screws in band and a 4532 serial nr. that one I found is a "real" midas

maybe some one could help me with the prices. is 6k€ ok for a real midas left crown with box in good condition, thought they are cheaper

Hallo zusammen,
für mich war die Sache mit der Vorstellung meiner King Midas; und jetzt
kommt die wichtige Nummer; REF 4915, Gelbgold mit Weißgold Streifen, eigentlich erledigt.
Doch der Fred kommt nicht zur Ruhe.
Die Angabe 7 von 8 habe ich mir nicht aus den Fingern gesogen um mal ne Welle zu machen, sondern weil es den Tatsachen entspricht!
Mir liegt ein Bestätigung des " Headquarter of Headquarters " vor, die dieses eindeutig belegt. Ich werde jedoch den Teufel tun, dieses Schreiben im Internet zu veröffentlichen.
In der kommenden Woche werde ich mich mit einem Forummitglied treffen, vielleicht ist dieses dann ja dazu bereit meine Angaben zu bestätigen.
