Parachrom Bleu hairspring
How important is this part for the general accurancy of the watch - you write it is the "heart" of the whole mechanism ?
sorry i am no professional

Hallo,
the steel daytonas got the engraved rehaut in the Z series.
The yellow gold daytonas with leather strap got the engraved
rehaut much earlier; I have one with D6....
So the rule mentioned above is only valid for steel daytonas.
Isn't it mentioned in the booklets whether the watch contains
a parachrom bleu ?
I can check my booklet on the weekend.
Have a nice day
johannes

Hallo,
sorry, once again, but I had to make sure not to
be wrong.
I don't know how to insert a link but
- search for "parachrom in der daytona"
- and you get an article written 5.2.2007 from OrangeHand
There is the information that Rolex produced before 2006
a barachrom (without) hairspring. Because of slight changes in
the material it got bleu.
From this article I got the opinion that the 4130 has parachrom
with or without bleu; but I would like to get more information.
Thanks in Advance
johannes

Parachrome Bleu
Bericht eines Forumskollegen:
Freitag, 4. April 2008, Basel. James Dowling kehrt mit neuen Infos von Rolex zurück.
Ich: "Was ist denn der Unterschied zwischen der alten Parachrome bleu-Spirale und der neuen Parachrome-Spirale?"
(what is the difference between the old and the new spiral ?)
J.D.: "Die sind identisch". (they are identical)
Ich: "Die neue Spirale ist also auch amagnetisch und temperaturresistent?" (the new one is as unmagnetical and temperature-resistent as the old one ?)
J.D.: "Ganz genau." (yeah)
Ich: "Aber sie ist nicht mehr blau?" (but it in not blue ?)
J.D.: "Doch". (wrong, it is !)
Ich: "Und warum heißt sie nur Parachrome?" (what does the new name
parachrome stand for ?)
J.D.:- no idea !

Hallo,
jochen_1962
As much as I understood from the articles here in the
forum:
- the first parachrom hairsprings were not blue
therefore not recognized. But these were produced
by Rolex inhouse and have nearly the same attributes
as the later "bleu"s.
- then Rolex improved/changed production and the
hairspring got this nice colour and the name parachrome bleu.
This is what I have in mind from reading the forum.
Have a nice day
Johannes
