You might consider adding a third way to determine the presence of 3185 or 3186 besides the "Wiggle" Test or opening the watch.

It's the so called "Crown Rotation Method".

One complete revolution of the crown makes the hour hand jump 6 timezones/hours = 3185
One complete revolution of the crown makes the hour hand jump 8-9 timezones/hours = 3186
