GMT II Question

Hi Guys,

I have two GMT II's and they have different crown guards. The top picture is P serial 16710 and the bottom is a A serial 16710. Notice the crown guards on the P serial are much rounder than on the A serial. A serial is pointier. Just FYI, the A serial also has a "SWISS" dial and the P serial has "SWISS MADE".

Is this interim model?

and do you know that the gmt's never were serviced?

The P serial was never serviced, I don't know about the A.. Could it be from a service?

seems so. are those crownguards identic on both sides?

They look so perfect, I could never beleive they would be from a service. Shape, height, width everything is identical to the P except that they are pointier.

I'm sure the A series was polished some times before - unfortunately not very professionally - or more then usually to fix a bigger damage.
