Nice! Be glad, it's overThis thread is a good motivation for me, since I have to remodel a complete house at the moment - 300 years old, untouched for over 15 years. Can you imagine the amount of dust gathered in this place?

OK, the floor repairs & remodeling are DONE!
Hey guys!

As you may remember, about 3 weeks ago we discovered that our new washing machine (located in the kitchen) has slowly been leaking water, which damaged the floor as well as the ceiling in the basement.
We made an insurance claim and adding some funds to it, replaced the pergo floor in the great room area with a nice Brazilian Cherry hardwood. :P My wife, being the "handy person" in our marriage, decided while the house was torn up anyway, to sand and paint the kitchen cabinets white.
I added some photos to the "Before and After" web page I did which details our little "fixer upper" project located here:
http://www.rolexreferencepage.com/house.htm
Here's a couple of photos - a before and after shot of the living room:
BEFORE:

AFTER - with the new hardwood floor:

In this before shot, you can see the old floor, as well as what the kitchen cabinets looked like before my wife went at 'em.

AFTER - with the new floor and painted cabinets:

We're pretty happy with the results. Like?John B. Holbrook, II

Nicely done...I like the color of the kitchen walls. And the hardwood floor is very nice indeed - much better than the original one! Looks way more classy in my opinion and harmonizes with the dark furniture!
Did you buy completely new front panels for the kitchen cupboards or did you grind down the paint of the doors and had them repainted in white?
Best regards and best of luck with your other kitchen-hardware in the future.
