Ok, it is not a mechanical but it is sure close. Eleven Jewels, Thermocompensated, and an ESCAPEMENT like a mechanical. It was way ahead of its time, and was one of the, if not THE first to use a synthetic Sapphire crystal. One of the most solid bracelets I have ever had (other than the Breitling Pilot) and a GREAT design. My little hommage to the now discontinued OysterQuartz, one heck of a watch!thanks for looking!Jesse
