Lindbergh ; THE limited edition from 1987
It's made in 1987 but as you can see in the pics ... perfect condition for being made 26 years ago.
This was a watch which I was looking for since a few years. I Like the Longines Weems and Lindbergh. The problem is that they offer these watches only with an automatic ETA movement.
Nothing wrong with an automatic ETA but these watches imo need a manual movement. Definitely if you know that the Original Lindbergh made in 1927 had a manual pocket watch movement.
Looking at many re-editions from these watches I only found automatic movements
Untill I discovered a Limited edition they made in 1987. In 1987 they celebrated the 60th birthday of the Longines watch.
First one was made in 1927 the last one, I'm not sure but I would guess in the 1940's (?)
Anyway, in 1987 they wanted to make an excact 'homage'.
The same 47 mm AND .... the same manual wind pocket watch movement !!!!
btw, a inhouse Longines movement
That's interesting.
So the hunt started an ended a few days ago when this arrived
