ARTICLE: The Explorer 16570-3186 - The Last Five-Digit Rolex Sports ModelGreetings Rolex Fans!

Over the holiday weekend, I finished up my article discussing the rare Rolex Explorer II 16570-3186:

The Explorer 16570-3186 - The Last Five-Digit Rolex Sports Model

This article is in many ways a follow up to my article The Mystery of the Rolex GMT Master II 16710-3186 from 2008. Both are fairly rare models (particularly the 16710-3186) and therefore of tremendous importance to collectors.

I hope you enjoy the article - do let me know your thoughts!John B. Holbrook, II

Also, at the end there is a typo "cere[a]chrom".
 Thanks

	08.09.2012, 00:43 #10Nice article John. I enjoyed reading it.

You might consider adding a third way to determine the presence of 3185 or 3186 besides the "Wiggle" Test or opening the watch.

I read about this on Minus4Plus6.com who where tipped by Ed who discovered this method on a French watch forum.
It's the so called "Crown Rotation Method".

One complete revolution of the crown makes the hour hand jump 6 timezones/hours = 3185
One complete revolution of the crown makes the hour hand jump 8-9 timezones/hours = 3186Geändert von AusMaastricht (08.09.2012 um 00:45 Uhr) Beste Grüße, Herman
