Original von zouiko Platinum is a very heavy metal. Even small amounts can weigh a great deal. A ring I have for example weighs 19 grams, when a similar 18K gold ring weighs about 10 grams. A steel ring the same size might weigh 5 grams.

So the insert itself which we know is platinum could potentially lead to a difference of 7 grams

The insert is about 6.5g, the bezel about 2.5g.

If the entire bezel and insert were Pt, you'd have to figure about 15g for bezel and insert together
