Will you buy the new Deep Sea ??

My first feeling is to keep my 16600, and wait for a 1665, and not to buy the new DSSD.

So what will you do ?

DEEPSEA is definitely on my want list!

I won't buy it, because i don't have the money
It's quite expensive, somehow ugly but has a charm of it's own. But if you buy it now you have the chance of owning a watch of the first series. This might become interesting in 30-50 years

I have to see a watch (not only fotos), before I can make a decision.

Ordered it before Basel and saw it there for the first time.
Cool watch, better than the new Sub!
    My EXIT watch! For sure!

    Can´t wait to grab it

As much as there is no such thing as a free lunch, I do not believe there is an exit watch... it keeps on going on and on... and then you find your next exit watch, and after that you find another exit watch... huhhh

I think i will take it. But where to buy, the price seems to differ a lot.

1665 is of course a very nice watch, but maybe you should not compare two very different matters.

But I must confess that with the domed cristal the ds has a slightly touch of a 1665.

No thanks. I might like it in a while but it would take quite a bit of getting used to.

I sold my 40mm Master Control because it looked too big on my wrist.

But you know how it goes. Someone buys it and lets me try it. I´ll start liking it. Eventually, I look through all the pictures again. Next thing I do is try it on again at the AD. I´ll start thinking about where to get the money to be able to afford it. Another GTG, another try on the wrist. By then I´ll have the money and I´ll go buy it

    No, definitely NOT!

Btw: I´m more interested in the watch behind the deep sea!

In my eyes, the DEEPSEA represents the new flagship in the Rolex "Professional" colllection. It defines what Rolex is capable of doing in the field of waterproof watch casings.

I am very impressed by the DEEPSEA. However, I do not intend to by one of them. This watch is too big and too heavy for my purposes.

    No, that´s a 1920s Oyster Cushion.

Volker - I'm with you. I can't see myself buying a watch this big when I wear a suit daily, but I will have to try it on first.

Thanks Wum, it´s James Dowling´s watch. I wore it at the Timezone GTG on Friday

Edit: That´s why it´s also in the background in the first pic (DSSD wristshot). When James tried the DSSD, he put away his cushion oyster.

I'm planning to buy one. The decision will be made the moment that I see it on my wrist.

The DS is an exceptional timepiece with a great technical look
