This forums needs more vintage watches.. here is one from 1962..




Almost perfect glossy Gilt dial, exclamation point dial, connected minute tracks, two lines, pointed crowns guards and a relatively obscure reference number.. all the things that makes this watch interesting to me. At least most watch nerds.

But I was disappointed at my scans..After looking at them, the bright white light source that I use completely fails to capture the warmth of the gilt writing.. I will try again with a different source.

Anyway, the 5512 had a relatively long run and like most Rolex they were produced in several configurations.

The early versions such as the one posted here had connected minute tracks, pointed crowns guards and I think are quite collectible..as is the other configuration with four lines and connected minute track.

Later versions, contained gilt dials, meters first and finally the last version was a regular 5513 dial with OCC writing..
