Actually no. I had the dial refinished by a great company in California as it had been refinished previously very poorly. Nothing is ever perfect but they surpass all of the other work I have seen.Originally posted by NicoH

I serviced the movement. The case had been polished over time but I could loupe it and see the original finish. I had seen this finish on a gold version of this case in an old Japanese collector publication and originally it had seemed odd. Once I got this one and louped it I realized that it was indeed correct for the model and I made a detailed map of the different surfaces and sent it to the guy I use for case detailing and had it put back to the way it was originally. I feel that if Rolex still serviced these models that it would have come back looking something very much like this. The crown is original. Here are some other views.
