In Germany, two-tone watches are probably the least popular watches that I can think of. I started to like them, though, after spending months on Timezone. They are so much more popular in the US, and I don´t know why Germans wouldn´t like them.

Here is one that I especially love:



This red-gold/steel Datejust (116201) belongs to my friend Nicholas who was born in the US and used to work in Germany until last year. I took this pic at a little GTG in September.

For a long time in the US, white metal watches were prefered, after decades of dominance by yellow gold and TT jewelry and watches. I've always like yellow gold and still do.

Hi Jason nice photo, it certainly bought back memories for me.
While I was on leave from the armed forces I went and bought one of these Omega's.
If I remember right it was about 1976 when I purchased it. Great to see that they are still going strong. I can't remember what happpend to mine, I probably broke it.
