"On the ESTA website, you can update the "address while in the US" and your email address, but not the original "contact address" from your application. However, this won't cause any issues for your next entry into the U.S.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) primarily uses the ESTA system to check your eligibility to travel under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP). The "contact address" from your initial application is not a critical factor for your entry as long as your ESTA remains valid and your passport details match.

When you arrive in the U.S., you'll be asked to provide your current accommodation details (usually when filling out flight check-in forms or at the border). The officers will rely on the most up-to-date information you provide at that time, not necessarily what was entered in your original ESTA application.

If you want to update the "address while in the U.S." in ESTA, you can do so, but it's not mandatory. It won’t impact your ability to enter the country as long as everything else (passport, ESTA validity, and general compliance with the VWP rules) is in order."
