Here we go...

"Oyster perpetual datejust", 2003, engraved in the back to "Herb Fishel" (the director of the racing department for the GM Corvette team at that time). Presented by Rolex at the ACO to Herb for his spirit of Le Mans. That year the same award was presented to Phil Hill and Norbert Singer. Automatic movement, stainless steel and 18k white gold, roman numerals, silver dial, crystal sapphire. In original presentation boxes with all the paperwork and a photo of Herb at the presentation in Le Mans, includes all the tags, #9 also engraved in the back, 36mm diameter. A+ cond. (working condition, never worn).

Creator of the Association of Karting Club, and the 24 Hours of Karting on Le Mans.



WINNERS 2003

Phil HILL
Driver, winner of 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1958, 1960 and 1961 in a FERRARI. He is one of the three drivers to have won the 24 Hours and the Formula 1 Championship.

Norbert SINGER
Engineer PORSCHE.

Herb FISHEL
Manager of program GM RACING. We owe him the development of programs CADILLAC and CORVETTE at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, and the victories of the CORVETTE in the GTS category in the 2001 and 2002 Le Mans 24 Hours.


WINNERS 2004

Reinhold JOEST
As a driver, Reinhold JOEST raced in 9 Le Mans 24 Hours between 1969 and 1981. As a entrant, Reinhold JOEST knew the honors of the victory at Le Mans (1984, 1985, Porsche 956 ; 1996, 1997, TWR Porsche), before being associated with Audi for the three victories (2000, 2001 and 2002), then for the first victory of a diesel, with Audi R10 (2006).

Jacky ICKX
Driver, 15 participations and long time victory recordman, with 6 wins (1969, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1981, 1982).

Christian MOITY
Journalist, and the man behind the 24 Hours annual launched in 1978.

Henri PESCAROLO
Driver and Team manager. Recordman of participations in the 24 Hours with 33 starts, between 1966 and 1999. Four victories : Matra in 1972 (with Graham Hill), 73 and 74
(with Gerard Larousse), and Porsche (with Klaus Ludwig) in 1984. Owner of the Team Pescarolo Sports since 2000.


WINNERS 2006

Tom KRISTENSEN
Danish driver. 7 victories in the 24 Hours, outright record, in 10 participations.

Yojiro TERADA
Japanese driver. 29 participations. This Japanese took part in the event for first time in 1974 (Sigma Mazda). Administrator of the ACO for Japan.

Don PANOZ
American manufacturer (his “Panoz Esperante” won the GT2 category in 2006), circuit owner and promoter of the American Le Mans Series, created in 1999 on the
North-American continent with the ACO.

Franz-Josef PAEFGEN
Bentley Chairman, then Audi for the first win of the band in 24 Hours of Le Mans (1999).



WINNERS 2007

Wolfgang ULLRICH
Engineer, Doctor Wolfgang Ullrich joined the Audi Sport Department in 1993, and created a formidable winning machine (supertouring, DTM). From 2000 onwards, Audi dominated sports car racing worldwide with a legendary car, the Audi R8 (5 wins in 24 Hours Le Mans), and now with the R10 TDI, the first diesel-engined car to win the Le Mans 24 Hours.


Jacques ISSAUTIER
Journalist for La Dépêche du Midi, Jacques Issautier was born on December 1921. He spent forty years looking after the paper’s motor sports column, which allowed him to travel all over the world. He has covered over 500 F1 and F2 GP. He has the best of us: 58 years covering the Le Mans 24 Hours, from 1949 to 2007.
