crystal from rolex servicing =)

here's a pic of a 1680 i just got back from rolex service (i know the watch is scratched, but it was never polished; so i left it that way - for now). notice the "original" style tropic 127 with the bevel i hope they are going back to using these.

Very interesting, but the question ist if they will also switch to this crystal in Europe. Obviously this watch has been at Rolex USA, wasn't it?`

But we will see in the future if this where just some old stock crystals or new ones.

yes, this was at rolex, beverly hills.

yep, this is the same one. it needed a service as the crown was stiff when winding.

In this Thread (Unterschiedliche Gläser für die 1680) I asked about different glasses and chamfers for the 1680 sub. But a glass with such a big chamfer was not presented.

Is it an old crystal? A new crystal old style? A new crystal by rolex? Or an afermarket crystal?
