As i said:
- special bracelet for the us market
- your serial number corresponds in my table with the year 77
- i think that "77" on the clasp is a year stamp
- i have information that the rivetted bracelet design was sold until mid of 70th - side by side with the newer foldet version.
NOTE:
You have to consider, that a mechanical watch was not state of the art in this years. (I had a LED Texas Instruments during this time) and most watch manufacturers had big problems for the next 15 years. Maybe there was a big stock on bracelets in the states in the 70th. Who knows?
So - with above information: from my point of view there is everything correct. This is ONE of the possible case and bracelett combinations from this time.
btw: the same question do we have with jubilee-braceletts.
Congrats

hi larry,
it is an original rivet band made in the states ... as you know, rolex made the 1520
movement with 17 jewels for the americain market, because of duties, maybe this
was also the reason to make their own bracelets in the states ... it is definetly
original, my friend ... i still cannot believe that americains became such bad
bracelets ten years after introducing the folded ones worldwide ... LOL ... but
you are a wise man and wear your beauty with a 78360 ...)))
