My Geneva Rolex & PPC Auction November '11 Report............

This time I could completly focus on all the stunning watches
that where not only offered by the auction houses but also by
my fellow watch collectors/dealers that came to Geneva. When we
see the impressive results the top lots achieved, the economic
recession was not present at Des Bergues, Mandarin & Beau Rivage...

Those pieces that where genuinely original where as always most
sort after and reached their highest estimate or rocket skyhigh,
everything less got heavily punished, there's no room for bullsh*t
quality, put together or added enhanced look..even not when they
cover the front of a watch catalogue. The reputation of a auction
house is here in the hand of 1 single man, the guy responsible for
the offered lots. Again this time Mr Bacs showed us why Christie's
is leading the marked so impressivly. There where the others wheren't
complaining either, allthough some Rolex toplots for instance the Indian
emaille & Lafitte PN got resigned, except to 1 or 2 lots the real action
was again on monday......



After a strong bidding contest up to 500ksfr hammer, one of my best friends could
complete his amazing collection with the stunning Neptune big size rare ref cloisonné.....





The Bond Sub reached it's estimate, after the break...





This gadget is not easy to wear...

Yes, with '72 caseback !! allthough a great result..


















During our dinner's I saw some amazing stuff...


I was invited to interesting Black Tie ;-) Bond Gala dinner with Roger Moore at Christie's

Knowing the tention myself very well I was happy to see my friend smile after the relief of a great result..


Stumble upon on the street, the second Albino Daytona that has been found...

Heading back home, I had plenty of time to enjoying all the great memories from yet another crazy trip;-)

Die Adenauer (142000 Euro) war sogar bei uns in der Regionalzeitung abgebildet. Interessant, wieviele Leute international ihr Geld in Uhren investieren/anlegen.

Ein im Vergleich zu den int. Geldmärkten noch relativ ruhiges und möglicherweise sicheres Fahrwasser.
