"Oyster perpetual datejust", 2003, engraved in the back to "Herb Fishel" (the director of the racing department for the GM Corvette team at that time). Presented by Rolex at the ACO to Herb for his spirit of Le Mans. That year the same award was presented to Phil Hill and Norbert Singer. Automatic movement, stainless steel and 18k white gold, roman numerals, silver dial, crystal sapphire. In original presentation boxes with all the paperwork and a photo of Herb at the presentation in Le Mans, includes all the tags, #9 also engraved in the back, 36mm diameter. A+ cond. (working condition, never worn).

From 2000 onwards, Audi dominated sports car racing worldwide with a legendary car, the Audi R8 (5 wins in 24 Hours Le Mans), and now with the R10 TDI, the first diesel-engined car to win the Le Mans 24 Hours.
Jacques ISSAUTIER
Journalist for La Dépêche du Midi, Jacques Issautier was born on December 1921. He spent forty years looking after the paper’s motor sports column, which allowed him to travel all over the world. He has covered over 500 F1 and F2 GP. He has the best of us: 58 years covering the Le Mans 24 Hours, from 1949 to 2007.
