Those are imo 2 superb watches and I don't know which one I would take (if I could)
I think I would choose the Journe but I'm not sure
Which one would you take and WHY ??

Only speaking about optical attributes I'd prefer the lange. It seems smaller and more elegant to me. I am also not a big fan of blue...

it's almost the same size
If I remember correct, the Lange is 40.5 mm and the Journe is 40 mm

I do like both but I expected a more equal score ...
If I would have asked the same question on a French site the majority would have answered Journe, right ... ;)
Anyway, like said I admire both but isn't the Journe not more special because it's more rare and the man FP Journe is known as one of the baes watchmakers today (some do compare hem with the person Breguet 250 years ago)
I´m Austrian, but still, would go for Lange. nodoubt :cool:

Ich finde die Ziffern 7 und 8 der Journe hässlich. Erstens umgedreht, zweitens kleiner als die anderen Ziffern. :(
Die Lange wirkt eleganter, da das Zb konservativer gehalten ist und nicht so verspielt.
Wenn man römische Ziffern mag, dann die Lange.

Das geht ja gar nicht.
Obwohl Journe nette Teile macht. Aber das Gehäuse der Lange ist schöner, obwohl ich mich an Zentralsekunden bei Lange erst gewöhnen muß.

Lange! Check the Huber SE Lange, that's a real beauty and quite limited!!

The dial is elegant and balanced. :gut:
The movement is top notch with in house spring :gut:.
The RL is the PERFECT dress watch.
No other watch gets close the RL.
Not even my L1MP, I have to admit... =(

But on the other hand I think most WIS will say that a Journe is more prestigious.
Ofcourse both are great but imo there is more 'passion' in a Journe

No question, I would take the Lange.
It is by far more old school, just like a decent dress watch should be.
Things I rather dislike about F.P.Journe are for example that the letters of the company's logo are way to large, furthermore, I think that the hands look like a disaster and worst of all is that the numerals are of a different size.
The case and the movement, however, look fairly great.
