Und kann schonmal zusammen fassend sagen, Yosemite is breathtaking! Auch wenn eigentlich nicht so der Naturbursche ist, wie ich. DiesevLandschaft, die Berge und Wasserfälle, einfach unbeschreiblich... Werde daher auch eher Bilder sprechen lassen. ABER: Jeder, der noch nicht da war, muss da mal hin.und wenn, wie ich, nur für einen Tagestrip, egal wie stressig das ist.

ist echt keine Muehe fuer mich. Ist am Abschluss eines Trips immer schoen, die Eindruecke nochmal zu ordnen, und das geht beim Schreiben und Bilder Hochladen am Besten.
Btw: Nach dem Trip ist vor dem Trip. Da Expedia gestern hier in USA super Hotel Angebote rausgehauen hat, habe ich meinen finalen Road Trip auch schonmal festgezurrt:
29.06. Auf nach San Louis Obispo, einen Freund besuchen.
30.06. morgens auf nach San Diego, Ankunft am fruehen Nachmittag. Tag am Pool chillen, Abends eine Freundin aus Mexiko treffen, die hochkommt nach San Diego.
01.07. morgens gen Osten Richtung Arizona. Irgendwo auf halber Strecke stoppen (wird spontan gemacht und nicht geplant, ganz nach Lust und Laune)
Am 02.07. dann morgen weiter, Ankunft in Scottsdale am Mittag.
Am 03.07. und 04.07. golfen frueh am morgen, danach an den Pool!
Am 05.07. morgens Richtung Las Vegas, Ankunft am Nachmittag. Naja, was man da macht ist ja klar ;)
Abreise in Las Vegas am 07.07. morgens back Richtung SF
Irgendwo auf halber Strecke anhalten, und die Nacht verbringen.
Am 08.07. dann weiter Richtung SF, Ankunft gegen Nachmittag.
Finaler Abschiedsabend.
Am 09.07. geht der Flieger ueber Chicago nach Duesseldorf.
Ankunft Uerige: 10.07. 10:30 Uhr ;)

So Freunde,
Job Update: Heute ein bissle mehr im Detail gesprochen ueber meine Moeglichkeiten. Die Wahrscheinlichkeit steigt, dass ich ab Ende 2012 / Anfang 2013 nochmal fuer ca. ein Jahr ruebergehe. Mitte bis Ende naechster Woche legt die Firma mir nun ein konkretes Angebot vor. Der Position und dem mid-term Career & Development Plan habe ich schon zugestimmt (auch wenn das nur muendlich war, und ich das auch schriftlich sehen moechte), jetzt gehts eigentlich nur um Financials (Base Salary, Bonus, Umzugskostenuebernahme, etc) und Dinge wie Urlaub.
Wenn das auch alles passen sollte, und der Mid-term Plan, nach rund einem Jahr fuer die Firma zurueck nach Deutschland zu gehen, um in DUS ein Office zu eroeffnen, vertraglich geregelt wird, werde ich wohl zusagen.
Dieser Thread koennte also noch lange am Leben bleiben...:)

Ich sehe Arizona, speziell Scottsdale als meine Heimat in USA an, da ich hier bestimmt 30 mal war, auf Grund von geschäftlichen Beziehungen meiner Family in dieser Gegend. Von daher fühlte es sich so gut an, nach 2 Jahren wieder zurück zu sein :) :)

Super Bericht, toller Gegend, aber kritische Frage: Ist es vom Wasserverbrauch her nicht pervers, einen Golfplatz in der Wüste Arizonas zu bewässern? Oder leiten die Betreiber das Wasser irgendwie aus den Gebirgen her?

Viele Clubs haben eigene Quellen.
Und ob man es glaubt oder nicht, Arizona war, und ist glaub ich immer noch, das Fleckchen Erde mit der höchsten Dichte an Golfplätzen..

und im Maerz ist das auch besser auszuhalten. Zwar kosten die Hotels und Plaetze dann das Doppelte, aber muss man halt mit Leben. Dafuer dann auch "nur" 25-35 Grad.. :)
