War aber nur ein Hot Dog und ein paar Nachos... Dagegen war ich von den Bierpreisen echt geschockt, $8,75 fuer circa 0,3l Bier! 8o
Muss gestehen da vergeht auch mir ein wenig der Spass, da ist echt doch besser, fuer die Haelfte des Geldes in eine schoene Sportsbar zu gehen und das Ganze auf einem grossen LCD Screen zu schauen... =)

Und schon ist fast wieder eine Woche um, mit viel Arbeit, aber auch viel Spass. Wieder einige neue Leute kennengelernt, viel in Sachen Multi-Channel Marketing gelernt. Dazu Abends viel in Sports-Bars rumgehangen und Sport geschaut.. :dr: :ea:
Anyways, das Wochenende naht! :jump: Und die Wettervorhersage ist grossartig! Der Plan:
Heute Abend U.S. Prime Beef geniessen, danach noch Kollegen in Little Italy treffen.
Morgen zum Farmer Market am Ferry Building, dort Lunch, danach chillen im Golden Gate Park.
Sonntag dann nach Napa. Da es nur ein Tagestrip ist, hab ich eine Tour gebucht, denn mit dem Auto zurueck wuerde ja nimmer klappen.. ;) Ergo bin ich abhaengig von der Tour. Geht mit dem 15 Mann Van nach Napa, erster Halt Robert Mondavi. Dort Tasting. Danach V. Sattui, dort Lunch mit anschliessendem Tasting. Danach noch 2 Tastings bei Franciscan & Whitehall Lane. Wer das alles trinken soll, werden wir sehen... 8o
Dann gehts mit der Ferry zurueck nach SF.
Naechstes Mal gehts dann ueber Nacht nach Napa, dann stehen Besuche von Opus One und Co an (hab gesehen die bieten Tasting fuer 30$ das Glass an).

Gestern gegen 16 Uhr aus dem Office gekommen, Chef war nett! =)
Wie schon gesagt, der Plan war US Prime Beef zu genießen. der Tipp für das Restaurant kam auch von meinem Chef.
Also schnell geschaut wie ich vom Union Square mit Public Transportation dort hin komme, und los ging's.. Wetter war gut! Und in SF wird die Happy Hour ja hoch gehalten, also einfach mal schauen, was in der Nähe des Restaurants für nette Bars sind..

Als Wein wurde mir ein 2009er Cabernet empfohlen, für sehr faire 29$ (der Winzer verkauft den selber für 20$)

Schön schwerer Tropfen mit 14%, passt perfekt zu Steak. Und deswegen bin ja auch eigentlich gekommen, also schnell geordert:

Ich kann Euch gar nicht sagen wie zart und großartig das war!!!! Esse ja bestimmt 100 Filets im Jahr, aber dieses gehört in die Top 5 ever, vielleicht zusammen mit Fiorentina aus Mailand auf die 1!
Dazu Gab es twice Baked Potato, also eine gebackene Kartoffel, die dann ausgehöhlt wird, das Purree wird mit Zucchini wieder reingepackt und noch mal gebacken.. War auch Top!

Gleich gehts zum Farmer Market am Ferry Building, dort Lunch, dann zum Chillen in den Golden Gate Park, und um 18 Uhr zum Baseball schauen & BBQ in den Sports Pub am Giradelli Square. Morgen dann Napa. Das Leben könnte schlimmer sein... ;)

Bin schon neugierig, was du zur Touri-tour ins Napa-Valley sagst. Ist eine gute Idee, sich das erst einmal so anzuschauen, da kannst du dir dann die nötigen Infos für den Overnight Trip holen. Wenn du noch Tipps für die besten Wineries brauchst, gerne per PN!

Hier wird's noch einige Trips geben, nächste Woche geht's gen Süden, wenns Wetter passt. Danach das We steht Arizona Golfen auf dem Programm! :)
Markus, wenn es dir irgendwie möglich ist: SCHAU DASS DU EINE STARTZEIT IN PEBBLE BEACH BEKOMMST! Das ist neben St. Andrews und Augusta (wo man ohne Einladung allerdings nicht reinkommt) ein Must in jedem Golferleben!!!
Du kannst das perfekt mit einem Wochenende in Carmel/Monterey, 17 Mile-Drive verbinden, das ist ein "once in a lifetime" Erlebnis!
