larry my friend,
nice watch, congrats !! ... but as you should know, the bracelet is not right for your 1675 ... but who cares ... ;)))
I see a mark in the clasp. This stamp and the pins are typical for the noth-american market. Here was can find this type of bracelet til mid of the 70th.
@shark:
Just wow!!
hiya werner,
i'm 100% positive that this bracelet originally came w/ the watch. why do you think it should not? the other gmt that i did not buy had the exact same bracelet. educate me o wise one :D
i should have said "original owner" in my previous post. he had to sell both his gmt's for some surgery :( this particular one was given to him as an award and he just kept it for some reason.
< shark >>><
can you provide a serial number of the watch for further check?
hi georgb,
sure, it's 5,136,8XX.
< shark >>><
ragazzo my friend,
ok, here we go ...
the 1675 came with gilt dial untill about 1965/66, the first folded bracelets were seen about 1967/68 ... so, if your 1675 came from 66-68, the bracelet could be the original one ... ;)))))
anyway, enjoy this beauty !!!
best
w.
EDIT: lol, so ... :)

werner,
i am enjoying it! the only thing that i find odd is that both of the original owner's gmts had this exact bracelet on them. this bracelet can clearly be seen to have never been worn.
so, u think a ref 7836 or 78360 should have come w/ this one, eh?
< shark >>><
yes larry, definetly a 7836 ... the 78360 started probably with the 16750 ... but if you love the look of this combination ... keep it, it looks very good !!
have a nice day
w.

As we see on you pic, the middle link has nearly the same width as the two outer links and the rivets have a hole in the center. That and the stamp an the clasp indicates the bracelet as a US market bracelet.
As the foldet bracelet did not directly replace the rivetted bracelet and Rolex has different designs and launch dates for regional markets, it is not unusual to find a watch with a 5 mio serial with both a rivetted or a foldet bracelet.
As I can see this is a correct combination.
george ... 10 years after the folding bracelet ?? ... i can't imagine ... ;)))
hi werner,
Wieder mal Rolex-Mystery !!
georg/werner,
it was 2am here and you made me pull out the bracelet because you made me curious. i've never really did any research on the gmt bracelet combinations; so, i wasn't sure what to think. i am 100% sure that the bracelet as shown above is what came with the watch - the original owner is not a watch person and would have no reason to swap.
anyway, what i found was that the clasp is stamped 1977. i think the entire stamp is something like: "c & i 77." i'll shoot some pics when i get home tonite.

Hallo MichaelZitat:

Links 1964 rechts 1980
