Volvoman!
erst Hirn einschalten, dann schreiben, OK?

Übrigens, habe bei diesem Posting mein Gehirn eingeschaltet...
Anyway you are the GURU - matt dials means vintage LOL!
Cheers,
JB
Danke =)
Maybe I misunderstood the contents of the post from the person saying Jürgens 168000 has a "wrong" dial. But a matte dial on a late 16800? Nope, doesn't work. So there´s no need for a "wrong dial" shout out as a matte dial would be dead wrong on a 9 mill. serial 16800 and evenmore so on a 168000. The 168000 was only fitted with the WG glossy version. Period.
That´s not true.
Even the 168000 came out with the matte dial.

Toll Hannes !!
Danke!! :gut: :gut:
This changes all info I have had from Rolex Geneva. Completely. This is indeed fantastic news and I am very grateful to be corrected by one who should know and a person that knows how to do his research.
I will change all the written info I have on the 168000 and refer to this fanatstic news.
Truely appreciate this and will even make sure this info fvrom Rolex Gemany is delieverd to my source at Rolex.
Fantastic.
But still one of my questions remains unaswered ...
If this one is from end 1986, they might have been 2 years in production and not 9 months.
Could it be that they made 16800 and 168000 from 1986 till 1988 ??
For example 10% of them were the 168000 and 90% were the 16800.
Does somebody owns a 16800 which wes made in 1986 - 1987 - 1988 ?
My info from Rolex Geneva on the extra zero was due to the transistion of metal alloy cases that was introduced for the 16610. Why would the 168000(alloy 904L cases be sold for three years (1986-1989) along with the normal run of the mill 16800? I am pretty curious to know more. As of now, my 168000 knowledge is back to square one.
Rolex – learning everyday.
Yes i have a 16800 from 1988/ Ja, ich habe eine 16800 aus 1988/ Ja ik heb een 16800 uit 1988 ;)Zitat:
