Klarer Favorit fuer mich war dieser BMW 507. Angeblich wurde dieser Wagen damals von Elvis gekauft, und dem Bond Girl Ursula Andress geschenkt. Hab es gegoogelt, die Farbe passt nicht. Aber vielleicht wurde er ja umlakiert. Jedenfalls ziemlich teuer so ein Wagen. :kriese:

So kam es, das zwar das Hafen Fest eher langweilig war, jedoch die Oldtimer dafuer umso spektakulaerer.

Soweit mein Wochenende. Ich muss aber sagen, mich juckt es schon wieder in den Finger meinen naechsten Trip zu planen. Vor allem, weil ich 4 Wochen ein verlaengertes Wochenende ansteht. Also einfach mal abwarten was es wird.

Damit schliesse ich fuer dieses Mal.

Teil 1 des Updates:

So folks,

Wie schon angekuendigt gibt es mal wieder ein kleines Update von der Westkueste. Ist hier in den letzten Wochen nicht so viel an Highlights passiert, und an den Wochenenden war ich busy, den Touri Fuehrer etc spielen.
Dazu bin ich gerade an meiner Mid-Term Planung, wo meine Reise Ende des Jahres hingeht, und hier gibt es wohl einige Aenderungen zur Urpsrungsplanung.

Wir waren stehengeblieben vor gut zwei Wochen.

Momentan haben wir hier einige Management Wechsel, die manche Planungen veraendern. Speziell eine Kollegin denkt eher kurs als langfristig daran sich nach neuen Optionen umzuschauen. Nach einem guten Lunch mit einem Kunden, den wir eigentlich schon verloren hatten, schlussendlich aber doch gewinnen konnte, war sie zumindest fuer die naechste Zeit wieder ein bissle positiver gestimmt. :gut:

Wir hatten Besuch aus unserem Londoner Office. War fuer mich gut, da ich den „Bespasser“ in der City spielen durfte. Was im Grunde nichts anderes heisst als:

Da einer der Kollegen Franzose ist, ging es deswegen am ersten Abend in einen Franz. Laden, und das Steak Tatar war super... :ea:

Der zweite Abend war dagegen noch viel lustiger, denn wir entschieden in den Tonga Room zu gehen. Zwar super Touri, aber so ein Abend in der Tiki Bar ist schon nett.

Das Essen, zwar ein bissle ueberteuert, ist dort trotz aller Touri Stimmung, ziemlich gut. Die Pork Rolls und das Mongolian Beef Tenderloin haben mich jedenfalls ueberzeugt. Und wenn die Firma zahlt ist man ja auch nicht kniepig... ;)

Spaeter in der Woche stand dann Cinco de Mayo „Pre-Party“ an, da dieser Feiertag dieses Mal auf einen Sonntag fiel.

Wird hier in USA ueberall gefeiert, oder zumindest in CA. So kam es, dass die Sandwich Bude nebem dem Office auch Mexikanische Tamales als Special hatte, dazu Coronitas Mini Biere for free.

Jedoch nicht fuer mich. Denn in meiner Gegend machte an dem Freitag ein neues Steakhouse auf, und da soll man sich vorher ja zurueckhalten.

Das Wochenende war gepraegt von Touri Tour mit einer befreundeten Flugbegleiterin, die ueber das Wochenende in der Stadt war. War wirklich lustig, nach einigem Rumlaufen sind wir zum Lunch in den BBQ Pub im Ghiradelli Square gegangen. Dort gab es gutes Pulled Pork, und dazu lustige Jack Daniels Promotion. Was bedeutet, dass ich nun Besitzer eines Sombreros bin... :D

So schnell vergehen dann auch Wochenenden, wenn man, wie immer,s ehr viel Spass hier in SF hat.

Letzte Woche hat dann nach Monaten Umbau endlich der neue Wallgreens nahe dem Union Square aufgemacht.

Man muss dazu sagen, zum einen liebe ich Wallgreens als Konzept an fuer sich, zum anderen kaufe ich dort auf dem Weg zur Arbeit normaler Weise mein Vitamin Wasser. Von daher war ich sehr froh dass er nun wieder auf dem direkten Weg zur Bahn ist.

Und schoen ist er geworden, sehr SF lastig.

Sonst in der Woche nicht viel Zeit fuer Spass gehabt. Ich hatte die ganze Woche ein Digital Marketing Training, davor und danach dann die „normale“ Arbeit machen. Ergo viele lange Tage erlebt.

Zumindest das Training habe ich gerockt, und als Siegerpreis ein Fahrrad abgestaubt... :gut:

Das Wochenende war vom Wetter super angesagt, und Planung war es bei Freundin in der North Bay zu verbringen. Keine Planungen, einfach treiben lassen. Gestartet haben wir Freitag Abend beim Sushi Mann, wobei ich mangels Hunger nur ein paar Chicken Spiesse nahm...

Gestern mussten wir eine Freundin zum Flughafen bringen. Da wir dann eh schon ein bissle im Sueden von SF waren haben wir uns gedacht, anstelle direkt zuruckzufahren koennte man ja den Weg Richtung Kueste gehen, und auf dem Weg nach Belieben Halt machen.

So kamen wir zu einem echt lustigen Restaurant in Woodside, sehr Disney Land lastig eingerichtet.

Half Moon Bay ist ein super suesses Dorf. Und haben dort ein echt cooles B&B gefunden, perfekt um dort als Paerchen ein Wochenende zu verbringen. Der Besitzer war auch super nett und hat uns rumgefuehrt...

Soweit meine letzten Wochen.

Wie gesagt, momentan sind hier einige neue Optionen bzgl meiner Mid-Term Planung dazugekommen. Sehe mein Ende in SF momentan spaetestens am Ende des Jahres kommen. Ohne jetzt schon genau zu wissen was danach kommt, seit diesem Wochenende ist eine eventuelle Option in New York dazugekommen, ohne das das schon konkret waere. Es bleibt also spannend! :jump:

Erstmal freue ich mich aber in einigen Wochen wieder ein wenig Heimatluft zu schnuppern.

Und damit einen guten Start in die Woche Euch allen.

Soooo lange her das ich mich hier gemeldet habe...

Aber ist hier auch reise technisch nicht viel passiert, viel gearbeitet, viel gefeiert in SF!

Dazu einige Managenent Wechsel in der Firma, die dazu führen, das ich Ende des Jahres vermutlich eine neue Herausforderung annehme...

Aber wie dem auch sei: mir geht es hier nach wie vor Super! Bin gerade auf einem Opera Event. Reiche und relativ alte Leute hören sich privat Arien an... Und sollen am Ende spenden, welcome to America...

Aber: es gibt sooo viele schöne Ecken in der Welt. Und dazu bin ich Heimat verbunden. Demnach wäre die neue Aufgabe mit Home Base in D, plus viel Reisen in verschiedene Ecken der Welt der nächste gute Schritt für mich! :gut:
