In Germany, two-tone watches are probably the least popular watches that I can think of. I started to like them, though, after spending months on Timezone. They are so much more popular in the US, and I don´t know why Germans wouldn´t like them.

This red-gold/steel Datejust (116201) belongs to my friend Nicholas who was born in the US and used to work in Germany until last year. I took this pic at a little GTG in September.
For a long time in the US, white metal watches were prefered, after decades of dominance by yellow gold and TT jewelry and watches. I've always like yellow gold and still do. :]Zitat:

While I was on leave from the armed forces I went and bought one of these Omega's.
If I remember right it was about 1976 when I purchased it. Great to see that they are still going strong. I can't remember what happpend to mine, I probably broke it.
