16600 from 1985?

I am new here.

I am interested in buying a Sea Dweller 16600 in good condition, only it has a 84***** reference which would mean the watch in from 84-85? But I was under the impression the production of the 16600 started in 1988? But than I found the article below explaining "the ref. 16660 was manufactured concurrently with its successor the ref. 16600 from 1986 to 1988" :rolleyes: But that is not 84-85, can someone help me?

What is the value of such a watch in good condition without box/papers?

Please answer in both English or German, I can understand both ;)

Did you contact the seller? Ask him to check the serial-number and the reference number. Both are engraved in the case. Maybe it's just a mistake and the watch is a 16660.
