A little personal introduction!
Hi all,
I have been 'lurking' on R-L-X for quite some time now and enjoy reading the various articles, great stories and all the wonderful pictures!
Yesterday my dear friend Bullibeer convinced me that I should introduce myself on 'the English speaking' board of R-L-X. Although I can't write in German very well (my grammar is very poor!), I am fully able to read it and I do speak German quite well. I'm a very active member on the Dutch Rolex Forum and browse through the VRF and BJSOnline almost every day.
My passion for Rolex started almost 2 years ago with a 16610LV. I have had 2 of those since then. Last year I had the chance to buy myself my dreamwatch; a red sub in absolute perfect condition! From that moment on I got more and more interested in vintage Rolex sportswatches. I have read (and bought) lots of books on Rolex, and read interesting internet articles since that time. A couple of months ago I bought a 'Rail Dial' (a true killer watch!!!) and sold two newer ones (a LV and a GMT Master II).
My current collection is:
1665 'rail dial' (1978)
