Does anyone know the price for the Deepsea in US$? In Euros it will be apparently 7100. That would equate to over 10k Dollars? A steep price for a steel watch, isn't it?

A little over the top for me too...
Anything between 5500 and 6500 would have been more then enough in my opinion.
For 7100 i would rather buy a used GMT ceramic and a used subdate, or maybe that nice datejust to match with my wife's datejust...
Even though maybe technological very advanced, the price seems to be a little on the high side for me, and i still love my "old" seadweller a lot.
We will see what the future brings, i will certainly post my next buys on this forum, but if i have to choose between one dipsy and two other nice watches, i would rather go for the last option and buy 2 nice ones.
Peter,
I hear you. And I agree. If the price exceeds 10k, then a nice GMT ceramic would be much more in my preference and the rest of the money would finance my next vacation. But I will be curious to see what the price will be in the US?
I must say that i've read (according to Mr J Dowling from that other watchforum) that he received the information that the price for the UK would be about 4000GBP, including 17.5% tax, so that would make about 5070€!
Sales tax here in Belgium is higher (21%) so estimated it would come to 5200 - 5350€ somewhere.
That is a lot more reasonable to me.
I do not know where Hannes gets his information from about the 7100€, but i guess he must have good connections too, about this.
Guess we will just have to wait and see!

EDIT: price appears to be 4700GBP including tax, so it would be about 5950€ including 17.5% tax...
And thus a bit more if the tax rate in your country is higher.
If this is correct it is still a reasonable price in my opinion.
Usually, the price will be lower in the US. Probably around 7k or 8k, maybe similar to the Milgauss... thats what I would expect...

Sorry for the double post.
Why do you want to know the price? Are you planning to buy a Deepsea?Zitat:

E-Mail from my US-jeweler:
"......
No, Rolex has not provided us with any information on the new watches just launched in Basel.
As soon as I know, I'll forward the information. March 1 we had a price increase, Professional models went up around 15%.
...."
Wow, 15% was not bad. Huhhh
It will be interesting to find out the US Dollar price of the Deepsea...
the price from another watch Board is that it will be $9,400

9400 + Sales Tax..... Will end up over 10K after all then.
I was at a Rolex Jeweler in Amsterdam two days ago, they could not provide a price quote. Amazing, looks like Rolex will charge more for the Deepsea than for a steel Daytona???
In this case I would prefer the Daytona.
Kind regards
Volker
