NAS-System mit RAID

Habe mir zum Verteilen meiner Daten einen NAS geleistet (Maxdata SN40)

Dieser bietet auch ein RAID an (SW RAID 5 / 10 / 1 / 0) ... ?
Was bedeutet das ??


So sieht meine Auswahl aus:


Advanced : Disk Configuration


Your storage system can have up to four disks. Four disks have been detected. What kind of disk configuration would you like to use?

- Data protection (RAID 5 - three disks minimum)
An amount of disk space equal to one disk is used for data protection, and the rest is used for data storage. The data is distributed in such a way that it can be recovered if any one disk fails.



- Data protection, failover (RAID 5+spare - four disks minimum)
Three of the disks provide RAID 5 data protection, and the fourth automatically joins the RAID if one of the other three disks fails.



- Data duplication (RAID 10 - four disks minimum)
Half of the disk space is used for data storage, and the other half is used for a duplicate (mirror) of that data. If one disk fails, you have a backup copy.



- Data duplication (RAID 1 - two disks only)
Half of the disk space is used for data storage, and the other half is used for a duplicate (mirror) of that data. If one disk fails, you have a backup copy.



- Better performance, no data protection (RAID 0 - two disks minimum)
All the disk space is used for data storage.



- Expandable, no data protection (Linear - one disk minimum)
All the disk space is used for data storage, and you can add more disks later without affecting your existing data.


Wenn ich kein Raid nutzen will, d.h. die 4 HDDs als "eine große" HDD gebrauchen will, was muss ich dann einstellen ??

Raid 0.

Bei Raid 0 werden die Daten auf alle Festplatten verteilt. Nachteil: keinerlei Datensicherheit, wenn auch nur eine Festplatte ausfällt.

Bei Raid 1 werden die Daten gespiegelt, sie sind sozusagen doppelt vorhanden. Vorteil: Datensicherheit bei Ausfall einer Platte. Nachteil: kein Geschwindigkeitsvorteil gegenüber nur 1 Platte.

Raid 5 und 10 sind Kombinationen aus Spiegelung und Aufteilung.

auf dem NAS sollen nur meine CD-Sammlung, die ich digitalisiert habe, meine Urlaubsphotos und Filme gespeichert werden - nicht als Sicherheitskopie, sondern zum Verteilen im Hause ...

Bei 4 Platten ist Raid 5 immer ganz nett... Du hast zwar nur die Kapazität von 3 Platten, aber wenn eine ausfällt, ist noch alles da.

4 Platten und Raid 0 (volle Kapazität) ist irgendwie Selbstmord...

ok, überredet ...

dann doch lieber RAID 5

würde ich ganz klar auch machen, Raid 5. Gibt mehr Sicherheit...

Raid 1 oder Raid 5 auf jeden Fall :gut: :gut:

Btw. ich grübel im Moment am ReadyNas von NV+ hat einer von Euch damit Erfahrung?

nun habe ich noch folgendes Problem ...

habe den NAS konfiguriert und als Benutzer "admin" und "guest" (ist fest angelegt) als Benutzer mit Lese-/Schreibrechten angelegt ...
- ebenfalls noch die "Gruppe" (beinhaltet "admin" und "guest")

mit meinem Mediaplayer kann ich auf den NAS zugreifen und durch die Ordner zappen; nur das Öffnen mittels PC klappt nicht, weil ...

"Sie haben evtl. keine Berechtigung .... " :grb:

was mache ich noch falsch ...

meinen Anmeldenamen von XP nimmt der NAS nicht, da Leerzeichen enthalten sind.
