Looking for a reliable source for a Rolex vintage steel bracelet to go with a 1966 5512 :grb:
Would a 'correct' bracelet be rivet...folded...solid link...all of these... :grb: :grb: :grb:
How can one tell the 'age' of a bracelet :grb:

Well, 1966 should be rivetted, I think ...
A date often is engraved in the clasp ...
Reliable Source? We have a salescorner in this forum where you can ask for one:

You can also try a vintage dealer ...
Good question! Theoretically, any of them could be "correct" - Rolex often replaced the bracelets of watches sent in for service over the years with the current itteration. So rivots have been replaced with folded links, folded links have been replaced with solids, etc.
So it depends on whether you want it day-as-sold original or not. Do you intend to wear it? I'd likely get a new solid model if so.
Thanks guys for your input.
John, I've found a 7206 rivet bracelet that I'm waiting to receive. It is dated 1966, the same year as my 5512, so it will make a great package.
