In Abu Dhabi gibt es eine Messegesellschaft ADNEC und Teil der relativ neuen Messehallen ist der "Capital Gate Tower", der u.a. ein Hyatt-Hotel beherbergt.
Natuerlich musste irgendein Rekord gebrochen werden und dieses Gebaeude hat einen maximalen Neigungswinkel von 18 Grad, uebertrifft damit den Turm von Pisa und hat es auch in das Guiness-Buch geschafft - super.
Ich hatte vor langer Zeit mal ein paar Bilder eingestellt, als das Gebaeude noch im Bau war - jetzt gewissermassen also der Abschluss. Zur Zeit haben wir sehr schoenes Wetter mit teilweise sehr farbenfrohen Sonnenuntergaengen und da dachte ich, der Turm macht sich gut vor buntem Himmel....ausser gestern, als alles bewoelkt war.
Egal - Geburtstagsdinner fand im Restaurant der Hyatt (eigentlich war "Hakkasan" im Emirates Palace geplant) statt, das sich sinnigerweise "18 degrees" nennt, was sich aber gluecklicherweise nicht auf die Temperatur der Speisen bezieht :D.
