Am vergangenen Wochenende fand die 23. Adenau Classic statt. Ca. 130 Fahrzeuge waren am Start. Am Freitag nachmittag ging es um 14.30 Uhr los, bis dahin hat es erst einmal ordentlich geregnet. Den größten Teil des Freitagprogramms konnten wir dann jedoch ohne Regen absolvieren, rund 115 Kilometer rund um das kleine Eifelörtchen Schuld.
Am Samstag betrug die Distanz rund 260 Kilometer, von Adenau runter an die Mosel und dort entlang, dann über schmale Serpentinen herüber nach Boppard und entlang des Rheins weiter nach Koblenz. Am Nachmittag fuhren wir dann via Andernach nach Bad Neuenahr und entlang der Ahr nach Altenahr und abschließend nach Nürburg. Es war eine traumhaft schöne Strecke, allerdings war es auch ordentlich warm, selbst am Nürburgring gab es Temperaturen um die 30 Grad. Am Sonntag waren wir bei reichlich Regen und deutlich angenehmeren Temperaturen dann noch ein bisschen in der Eifel unterwegs (rund 110 Kilometer).
Wir hatten bereits letztes Jahr teilgenommen und auch in diesem Jahr hat es wieder sehr viel Freude gemacht. Die ausgesuchten Strecken sind landschaftlich wie auch fahrerisch sehr reizvoll. Dazu gibt es Vollverpflegung und das alles für € 270,- für zwei Personen.
In dem Preis inbegriffen ist freies Fahren auf der Nordschleife am Sonntag morgen von 8.00 bis 9.40 Uhr. Neben den Teilnehmern der Classic-Veranstaltung waren hier weitere 100 Old-und Youngtimer zugelassen, so dass auf der Strecke viele alte Autos zu bewundern waren. Unter den Teilnehmern waren auch einige Fahrer, die es richtig haben krachen lassen.
Spannende Fahrzeuge haben an der Classic Veranstaltung teilgenommen: 4 Ford GT 40, ein Wolseley Hornet Spezial, ein Bentley MK VI, ein Riley Big 4 Continental, ein Porsche 356 C Carrera 2 mit Königswellenmotor, eine originale AC Cobra, ein Wolseley Hornet Spezial MK3, ein Maserati 450 SR usw.
