Südafrika - KwaZulu-Natal: Berge, Küsten, Viecher

Ihr kennt das: Man macht drölftausend Fotos, die gammeln erst mal auf der Festplatte rum, ebenso die erste, zweite und dritte Auswahl. Irgendwie hat man sich auch satt gesehen. Bis jemand im Forum seine Safari-Fotos zeigt. Und einem einfällt: Das wolltest Du doch auch noch.

Here we go, eine kleine Auswahl des letzten Südafrika-Trips im Mai. Drei Wochen, 3.500 km, Berge, Küsten, Viecher.

Teil 1: Flug nach Johannesburg, danach direkt weiter in die Drakensberge. Der ideale Ort, um erst mal etwas zu entspannen, tagsüber leichte Wanderungen, abends Tier vom Weber :D

Danach runter zur Küste, die Städtchen Umdloti und St. Lucia nördlich von Durban. St. Lucia liegt mitten im iSimangaliso Wetland Park, der zum UNESCO Weltkulturerbe gehört.

Ab jetzt standen eigentlich nur noch Nationalparks auf dem Programm, je nach Reservat sind wir selber gefahren oder haben die Game Drives der jeweiligen Lodges mitgemacht.

Nächste Station: Garonga Safari Camp. Ein privates Reservat in der Nähe vom Krüger NP. Absolut empfehlenswert. Sechs Hauszelte, max. zwölf Personen, traumhaftes Anwesen. Der Besitzer ist Engländer, die Gin-Auswahl dementsprechend :dr:

Ihm ist etwas schlecht. Das liegt an den Werbe-Pfefferminzbonbons vom Autovermieter, die er uns vorher aus der Karre geklaut hat. Die waren zwar eingeschweißt, aber das interessiert den gemeinen Affen hier nicht die Banane.

Die Ausrüstung ist überschaubar: Canon 5D, 70-200 2,8 IS und ein 24-70 IS. Ein paar sind auch mit einer kleinen Panasonic Taschenknipse entstanden.
