Einer der schönsten Reise-Bilder Threads! Ich MUSS da unbedingt auch mal hin.

Kann man sagen, was die "beste" Reisezeit für Island ist?

Sprengisandur ist noch ein Traum. Hab mich mit dem Rad nur die Kjölur getraut.

Sensationell. Danke für´s Mitnehmen.

Die Touren mit dem Geländewagen im Inselinneren sind nur von Frühjahr bis Herbst sinnvoll machbar. Im Winter sind die Pisten größtenteils nicht, oder nur sehr eingeschränkt zu nutzen. Beste Reisezeit daher der Sommer. Soll nicht heißen, daß es im Frühjahr, oder Herbst dort nicht schön wäre. Der Winter bietet bei wolkenfreiem Himmel das Polarlicht. Allerdings ist es dann nur wenige Stunden hell.

Also wäre eine Woche Islands Anfang Mai durchaus machbar, auch wenn August vielleicht das bessere Wetter bieten würde... Na mal schaun.
