I was getting in trouble on my Basel trip this year. I pay with my VISA card and the police haven't pull the payment
from my card yet. Today I've got this papers from Germany but it's hard for me to understand what they say.

Can someone help me out here? Is it ok? Or should I do something?

Thanks in advance.

Strange :grb:

It says that it is paid through depostit and that your Bevollmächtigter (http://dict.leo.org/ende?lp=ende&lang=de&searchLoc=0&cmpType=relaxed&sectHdr=on&spellToler=&search=bevollm%C3%A4chtigter) is informed.

What ever that means :ka:

Any lawyers here?

How much did they charge you on site? If it was the said amount (143,50EUR), no need to worry. The first page says that you got a speeding ticket, the second page says that you "achieved" 3 penalty points at the national automobile sinners registry ;). These are valid for two years. Advice: keep it low for the next 24 months. If you get caught with the same speeding amount (25 km/h or more above speed limit on the Autobahn) within two years, you will get a one-month ban for driving within Germany.

So don't get caught :D

Thanks for the info.

The cop tell me the ticket should be €150 but as I say they haven't pull the payment yet from my card.
So should I do nothing? I'm not interested to get a "bad credit file" because they don't have got the money.

I got this papers from the cop, unfortunately I haven't them here at the moment. I guess there is a receipt
from my credit card drawing. I'm a little confused at the moment and it's too little money to get in trouble. So
maybe it's better to send the payment with a wire transfer?

Did you sign an invoice and did you get a receipt? If so, keep it and send a copy if there should be any inconvenience. I doubt that there will be some kind of aftermath, though. It's probable that they didn't charge your CC until the ticket was "officially" issued (aka the letter you posted). Wait another month and see. If they'd want more moneys from you, they'll tell you :]

A vital correction to my first post: it's 25 km/h or more within 2 years, not 31 km/h, sorry.

EDIT:

Damn, even your speeding ticket pictures look awesome, kudos! :gut: :gut: :gut:

Your Sea Dweller pics made me crave and finally buy one :verneig:

the receipts look alright, keep them for file reasons. The second page of the letter also says that the sum was already paid for by security bond, so the payment you did on site is alright in the police's books. No need to worry.

Dont worry.

They can`t pull the payment until they set your speeding fine.
This happened on 14.5.2010, now they will surely pull within the next days.

Call Mr. or Mrs. Okoreogo. Phone Number 00494521788318. Tell her/him the 'Aktenzeichen' 613284339 and inform her/him, that you have payed the ticket yet.

If she/he asks for it, send her the receipt. That´s all.

What you are experiencing is everyday life in germany. We call it here 'Verwaltungswasserkopf' ('public administration hydrozephalus' :grb:).
The one hand does not know what the other does. :D

LOL! Little joke in pretty bad english for our german members.
