Hopefully some of the experts on this very impressive forum can help me with the following: I have a one year old 16600 Sea-Dweller, which has just been pressure tested at a local watch maker (not AD). The pressure test showed, that under the compression test everything was fine, but under the decompression test it failed. My question is: Is the failure to pass the decompression test due to the HE valve? In other words: should a SD always fail a decompression test because of the HE valve?

thanks for your answers in advance

Hi Morten,

it should be normal that the SD failed on the decompressiontest, otherwise the HE Valve would be defect.

I found in an old thread, that die watertight-test isn`t possible on the usual negative pressure apparat with the SD, so you will need one with positive pressure.

For how deep testet your local watch maker the watch - 300m ?

Hi,
Thanks for the answer. I thought it should be so as well. And yes, it was tested to 300 meters
