Hi,
First let me say how glad I was to discover this forum. I never realised there were quite so many watch addicts (excuse me- Rolex addicts) out there. For ages I felt lonely, lost in a world where only I knew the true consequence of carrying a crown on my wrist. Oh yes, the journey has been long but now I am glad to have joined the ranks of the enlightened few. Here is my story......
It all started on my 18th birthday. Destined to fly, my parents bought me a Seiko with a flight computer:

Diving came next, so I bought myself a Citizen diving watch, the bees knees as far as I was concerned (although the rubber strap perished and fell off, but apart from that it was and still is an exceptional watch):

And so it remained for a good few years until I got married. Then my beautiful German fraulein bought me an IWC (with a German day wheel I might add to make me learn the lingo!):
