First of all, a happy 2010 to all of you !!
Now, a bit more about the new watch
From a brand wich doesn't get the attention it should get ! I always loved my Chronomaster moonphase, so why not add another Zenith ?
The movement doesn't need a big introduction I guess. We all know the El Primero and I'm sure we all know it's a legend and one of THE references when we're talking about chronograph movements. I could sum up a list with other high-end watches which used this movement in the past but you guys are well aware of them. The finishing is good, imo on par with IWC or JLC. I did not test this one yet but my Moonphase Zenith is one of the most accurate watches I own.
The case is super. I really love the brushed steel. It's 44 mm so it is not a small watch. Perfect for my wrist ! In spite of the 44 mm this watch wears very elegant and feels like a dress watch, it isn't something sporty like a panerai (on the wrist one could guess it is 42 mm) . The sapphire glass is a little bit curved. The dial is silver. I know it looks almost white but it is silver. Most of the times I prefer 2 register chrono's WITHOUT date function. A date could only mess up the perfect layout of the dial, imagine if a Patek 5070 would have a date... Now, this is another story, the big date is imo very well done. It doesn't disturb me at all.
Another thing I would like to add, the deployant is the most beautifull I ever saw, Imo a lot better / nicer than the ultra high end Patek or Lange deployants
So, here are the pictures
