First of all, a happy 2010 to all of you !!

Now, a bit more about the new watch

From a brand wich doesn't get the attention it should get ! I always loved my Chronomaster moonphase, so why not add another Zenith ?

The movement doesn't need a big introduction I guess. We all know the El Primero and I'm sure we all know it's a legend and one of THE references when we're talking about chronograph movements. I could sum up a list with other high-end watches which used this movement in the past but you guys are well aware of them. The finishing is good, imo on par with IWC or JLC. I did not test this one yet but my Moonphase Zenith is one of the most accurate watches I own.

The case is super. I really love the brushed steel. It's 44 mm so it is not a small watch. Perfect for my wrist ! In spite of the 44 mm this watch wears very elegant and feels like a dress watch, it isn't something sporty like a panerai (on the wrist one could guess it is 42 mm) . The sapphire glass is a little bit curved. The dial is silver. I know it looks almost white but it is silver. Most of the times I prefer 2 register chrono's WITHOUT date function. A date could only mess up the perfect layout of the dial, imagine if a Patek 5070 would have a date... Now, this is another story, the big date is imo very well done. It doesn't disturb me at all.

Another thing I would like to add, the deployant is the most beautifull I ever saw, Imo a lot better / nicer than the ultra high end Patek or Lange deployants

So, here are the pictures

That's true. Zenith is imho the most underrated luxury watch brand!

I've never seen your one but it looks very elegant - despite of the 44mm diameter! :gut:

Unterschiedliche Schriftsfonts auf dem Zifferblatt (Stundenziffern, Totalisatoren, Datum) würden mich erheblich stören.

the design is good, very pleasing simple with an litte extra touch....but would rather see it without the date.....

......way to big, for a classic...and giving it a glass botton just underlines that to much

Hmm, I usually admire your taste, but here, we won't meet. On this fella, everything's wrong. The big date on this position - nogo. The small dials have an awkward position and look lost - as always when a small movement is crammed in a big case. The modern-style font of the arabic numbers look horrible with the old-fashioned font of the date. What's wrong with Zenith? They used to know how to design watches :op:

Nice watch there, Bruno, but I´d love to see it in a smaller diameter case. Plus - what others said - the font of the date wheels is kind of funny...

Other than that: nice and clean, and great pictures, too :dr:
