Last week I was in Switzerland visiting Geneva and the Vallee de Joux. I met with two fascinating watchmakers in the Vallee de Joux who are exercising the art of watchmaking at the highest level.

It took me a while, but now I posted the whole report in my blog and hope that it will be an interesting read. Click here for the report. (http://www.watchesandart.blogspot.com/)

Boris, thank you for the very interesting report. The Cabestan clock is a brilliant part ... There's a fine watchmaking art in this clock. :gut:

Over 1250 parts are in the Cabestan watch. All handmade, it takes 9 months to produce one watch. It is amazing. Very light when you hold it in your hands. I was so impressed when I saw how they are producing the watch, it is impossible to describe my experience in words or pictures. Just amazing.
