These were taken with my little Pentax Optio point and shoot camera I got in January. I bought it for those times you don't want to have a DSLR and backpack full of lenses. Here's a shot of the association pool where my old bachelor pad condo is located (I still own it and rent it out...so we still use the pool) - as you can see, it takes pretty darn good outdoor shots:

We were the only ones at the pool for most of the day!

The Optio has a macro mode, and can take some decent wrist shots...again, if you're outside with lots of light:

The camera can also be used underwater - another big reason why I bought it. I was pretty impressed with this wrist shot:

This shot of the watch sitting on a ladder step underwater came out amazingly well...blind luck actually. Litterally - I didn't bring a mask or goggles and couldn't see the camera screen worth a darn when I was underwater:

I'm looking forward to a GREAT Hawaii vacaion in less than 2 weeks with Sub and my new underwater camera!

Thanks guys - the main downside of the Pentax Optio is that it takes really bad indoor shots. =(

Very great shot, John.

You tricked me with that one. First I thought...uurgh, maybe he should have cleaned the grease and dirt around the cyclops. Then I realized that I was looking at an underwater pic and the grease and dirt are bubbles.
