Wir sind schon mehrfach in Südafrika gewesen. Durch Deine tollen Photos haben wir sofort Lust auf eine neue Safari bekommen.
Wir werden uns auch die Lodgen herausschreiben um vielleicht Frühjahr nächsten Jahres in Kenia zu sein.

Danke - Danke an alle .....

Ja - das ist "mein" Verein - naja - ich bin halt der Vorsitzende und wir bemühen uns nun schon seit fast 20 Jahren um den Schutz der Elefanten. Ein großes Projekt "Mein Patenkind heißt Jumbo" unterstützt das Retten / Aufziehen und Auswildern von Elefanten-Waisen.

Der kleine Eli aus der Fotostrecke hat es leider nicht geschafft, er ist vor 1 Woche gestorben - es ist sehr sehr schwierig kleine ELefanten ( dieser war gerade 2 Wochen alt bei seiner Rettung ) groß zu ziehen, denn die Muttermilch ist in den ersten Monaten fast lebensnotwendig.

Aber mittlerweile wurden schon über 100 Elefanten erfolgreich wieder ausgewildert - und das gibt Mut weiterzumachen.
