Well, I finally got around to upgrading the clasp on my Yacht-Master. Many thanks to Jocke for the idea and inspiration, as well as help from my good buddy Scott D! :]

Looks great! :dr:

I am also thinking about such upgrade for some time...

It would be great if you could give me an indication on the price (via PN)? Many thanks!

I was lucky to find one used that I bought from a friend at a great price. From what I understand, it could cost as much as $800.00 US. 8o

Hey John... perfect pics as we are know from you...

And the idea is great, I had the same idea for my YM. :gut:
Here is the link: Pimp my Yachtmaster (http://www.r-l-x.de/wbb2/thread.php?threadid=78047&sid=&hilight=yachtmaster+neue+schlie%DFe)

At first I want a Daytona clasp but I get only a GMT clasp.
Further, I was the best clasp for thouse bretty watch as the YM.

Good luck and best wishes

Stefan

Many thanks for the information. I would also love to get a used one for a reseonable price, but I think I will have to ask my Rolex dealer what the retail for a new one is...

Would you think, the change is worth the USD 800?

in my opinion... the chance was the best thing in the last time..

each day if I wear the YM I am afraid about the clasp...

But it is very very difficult to get a GMT clasp... very difficult..

Just to straight out my understanding, why are you afraid about the clasp, when you wear the YM I...

I will ask my retailer to get the price on the 116520 clasp and then make the decision...

cause the GMT clasp is for the YM as the point for the " i "... :gut: :gut:

yes, but do you see a risk of screwing it up by wearing it?

would you go for the GMT rather than for the D clasp?

NICE! This is what the Yachtmaster needed all the time!

Congrats, John, on finding the clasp. IŽm sure youŽll enjoy the Yachtmaster twice as much now =)

Best-
Nico

Well, if the YM was my only Rolex....maybe. Let's just say that I could have done this upgrade at any time and didn't....until I found a used clasp. :supercool:

Does anybody know the reference number of the GMT clasp und the extra micro adjustment link, which I need to put it on my YM?

I might have a chance to order one for a good price, but would need to be specific.

Many thanks!

If anyone could give that to you, it would be Hannes I would think. He's got dealer reference material galore! 8o :gut:
