He really hates it when I give him a job envelope like this:

with a few details jotted on the back:

I try to be patient... but my Thursday deadline came very quickly, and Mike's Treasure soon came home.
Looking much better for the trip to the watchmaking spa... it's straight back on my wrist...
Super-dome preserved and just a light polishing... shoulders lightly brushed... champfers preserved...

Dial and hands completely untouched (as I commanded!), but the gilt printing still looks 24 carat and the red depth rating "blood-red"...

My Rolex-accredited watchmaker, and his son Keith (an expert goldsmith, tasked with the case and bracelet refurbishing), are worth their weight in gold... I really have to work hard to keep them secret from the vintage watch world!!

Now, just have to find a "pearl" to complete the faded green bezel insert... but I can live with the watch as it is for a while...
HAGWE!
