I cannot adequately express in words how much I love Summer. This weekend was like a vacation getaway. Friday night we took in the new Batman flick (OK in my book, but not quite up to the critical acclaim it seems to be receiving). Then, I got up about 6am on Saturday and enjoyed a great sunrise breakfast out on the deck. Then I got my son up, we got ready, and then headed to the golf course so we could get a round in before it got too hot. As you can see, we got on the tee box on #1 right about 8am:

The first drive of the round landed on the short stuff - a good omen:

My son's game is REALLY coming on strong for a 12 year old. He got two pars this weekend, and his first 200 yard drive!

Here he is in the club house sporting his T-Touch - his favorite watch at the moment:

After the round on Saturday we headed to the pool, and had a relaxing afternoon, followed by Saturday evening church services.

Sunday morning we were back on the course:

That round was the best of the year for me - 50 on the front, and 49 on the back. Clearly my passion for golf far exceeds my ability.:lol:

Sunday night Karen fired up the grill and we had a FANTASTIC dinner....and a cap to a wonderful Summer weekend....golf...movies...food...great family fun!

I hope your weekend was as good, and I hope you enjoyed the photos!

I was pretty darn hot, but as long as we got off the course before noon, we were OK. :D

Great picture story John.

Seing your son wearing a that Tissot - I think that is just the right watch for a young man like your son. It has all these technical features which you fancy that age, like the compass, altimeter, etc.
In the main forum there is this ongoing discussion whether a 10y old would be too young to wear a Rolex or not... I find that Tissot is just the right and adequate time piece :gut:

Well, best regards from Shanghai http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm302/Lukmi/happy1.gif

NB:
Once I was invited by a customer in Thailand to play golf (appearantly he assumed that every business man knows how to play that...).

So when I was asked on the phone what my handicap would be I replied: my handicap it that I have no idea how to play this game. Maybe they thought I was kidding, because they picked me up at the weekend.
When I arrived at the court I picked up the golf club horizontally and shouted: all right, pitch me !!
Then he realized that he made a mistake and I spent the rest of the day in the club house :dr: :dr: :dr:

Fantastic report John, thanks :gut:

That sounds like a great weekend indeed. Maybe I *will* pick up golf to have something like that, too... ;)

Thanks for setting this up!
