In my personal opinion, no.

For me, the most attractive S/S watch would probalby be a 5510 big crown or a 1016.

Thank You, Felix. btw. it is a Ref. 6538.

My nominee for the title (at the moment) :

well its not THAT contemporary, but even more than this one ;)

http://www.dr-krause.homepage.t-online.de/WS/6542WS2.jpg

But we definetely agree about the second position of the alltime beauties charts:

I can't understand why so much people like overloaded dials...

A beauty has to be slmple, straight and classic:

the white 116520 is indeed a beautiful watch!

however, for myself, this is the most beautiful steel watch:

I said it before and I´ll say it again.

The silver subdial-rings make the watch look cheap! The rest is nice but without the proper dial the whole package doesn´t do the trick for me.

I would also go for a non date Submariner for this title.

No offence.

John, You are right and the pictures are really nice. But wearing an old watch while driving a beamer should be o.k. too. ;)

Yes 100% for sure... the Daytona's are the style-icons!
Pure Sex on the wrist...

The 6542 and 6538 yep... also.... so it's a hard call...

But for me..... the combination of it all...

@ Amsterdave: You have sharp eyes :D
The D is a T-Series, which originally has the non-SEL links. But since this is my favorite watch, I like to wear it a lot and I don't wanna totally screw the original strap, I purchased a new strap (which has SEL) and put it on my D. The original non-SEL strap is savely stored in the vault :D

By the way, there a zenith daytonas with SEL links: The A-series has SL dial and SEL link straps.

@ Pascal: BEAUTIFUL set! :verneig:

@ Bulli: I just have to say it one more time: a dream :ea:

John, I guess the most attractive stainless steel watch ever is NOT the Daytona.
It's this one:
