Very nice Rail dial 1665 Remco!
Those lugs make it look like it came straight from the factory.

Enjoy it!

Thanks D... as a matter of fact Rolex USA did a complete overhaul on this watch, in april 2007. They have done a 100% perfect job with the case and the inside! It runs like a new one.

This watch has been pretty beat up in the past.
The previous owner wrote to me:

I have owned the watch for about 3 years and I purchased it from a construction worker who was the original owner. When I bought it he had worn it every day doing road construction for the past 20+ years - and it looked that way! It was very beat up when I got it and you see what a great job Rolex did with cleaning it up.

BTW: My new acquisition is the bike ... :gut: ;) ;)

Hi Remco,

these are great pics. Congrats :gut:
I love to be in NL in spring time (or any time :D Leiden and the area around Haarlemer meer are my favourite places for vacation); but right now I have to be in Jakarta =(

Best regards,

John,

you have no reason to complain, yet. :] In Germany, the gallon is at an amazing 8.80 USD (did I calculate right?). :rolleyes:

@John,

you should not be complaining about US gasprices, in the Netherlands they are paying more than double that. ;) We are still privileged in the US. I was back in Germany 3 weeks ago and needed nearly 150 US$ to fill my car's gastank. That is expensive. I got so shocked that I only filled it up half...

@Remco

beautiful rail dial Seadweller, makes me jealous. And your pictures are very cool.

@Boris,

you are quite right on our gasprices! I'm not sure how much a gallon is in liters, but we have a gasprice of around € 1,59 p/ltr. So I pay almost 100 euro's for a full tank :grb:... but, european cars also have a bit more "miles to the gallon", my car runs around 660km on a full tank (60ltr).

@All,

Thanks for all kind words! :gut:
Apart from this new bike I feel like a very lucky guy with my raid dail. It is the watch with the most 'wristtime', next to my red sub.
