Well Peter, I'm pretty boring so I don't do anything in Vegas that should stay.

However, I can tell you that the rule is completely false...I probobly gained 5 lbs. while I was in Vegas...and I sure wish it would have stayed there.

Hi John,

great pics, great report.

I love Vegas, too :gut: :gut:
As one of the fastest expanding cities in the US, they use plenty of our machines to build it even faster :D

What would be your hotel recommendation in Vegas?

thanks a lot for sharing!

i have been to las vegas twice. it was fun, it was interesting to see.

it´s quite an impressive scenery as far as the hotels and buildings are concerned. but to me it has no "soul", it´s shallow and fake.
"kitsch as kitsch can"; i rather go and see the real paris, venice, rome and new york.

but everybody should have gone to vegas once in a lifetime!

cheers! :dr:

Been there and stayed at the Venetian as well as the Bellagio.

Want to come back and stay at the Wynns...

Thank you John - I really love Vegas and I usually go there at least once a year with my best friends and without our girls.
Always 4 days of pure exitement, pleasure and lots of stress as it is a 12 to 15 hour flight from where I live.

I´ve stayed in the MGM Grand, Mirage, NewYork New York, Bellagio, Caesars, Wynn....and the last time I was there in the newer Planet Hollywood resort.

I really liked the Wynn, but it is somewhat too far down the stip for my taste, as well as the beautiful Mandalay Bay.

All in All, I liked the Bellagio best but this Planet Hollywood joint we stayed in last time was lots of fun. I think we´ll be staying there again this July because for my best friend´s bachelor party.......and there really is only one place to go............VEGAS!

What would be your hotel recommendation in Vegas?

My first recommendation would be Ceasar's Palace. In my book, it has the best pool area in Vegas, the best shopping, and the best entertainment all under one roof, and the location is almost smack dab in the middle of the strip. It's also got such classic Vegas history...love it. It's not the most expensive place in Vegas, but it's also not cheap...worth every penny.

For an option that's cheaper on the pocket book, the MGM Grand is a great property too. It also has a classic Vegas appeal, much like Ceasar's. And they get some darn good acts there as well.

I stayed at the Wynn last year, but didn't appreciate it as much at the time as much as I do now having stayed at the Venetian. I didn't price the new Palazzo tower, but I'm guessing the Wynn is still the most expensive game in town. But it's truly a fantastic property.
