The Rolex World has changed forever....

The Highlander got out bid on the Albino Daytona but only buy a few dollars and let me congratulate the winner and the first Daytona to make USD 516,000.00.

Sothebys NY had 4 of the Best Rolex Watches I have seen for a long time and I was determined to have a serious go at all four, and it was my main reason for being less aggressive in the Revolution Auction.

Lot 150:- The Daytona ref 6240 was a bargain. I am very happy with that at USD 50K

Lot 162:- Just slipped out of my hands at USD 210,000.00.

Lot 163:- Was the bargain of the year Century. Sothebys got the condition report completely wrong. I am over the moon.

Lot 166:- Well gave it my best shot, and I thought my bid of 415K plus commission was enough, and the winner got it with a bid of 420K. And my bid of 430K was not accepted as it came as the hammer fell. Madness?? Not at all. It was a great watch and I regret not getting for myself.

It was a really exciting day, and I think the tension was uneasy, many people could not sleep for the last for the last few days.

The Highlander got out bid and The Rolex World has changed forever.

Rolex has now taken over patek.

8o 8o 8o My dream of a 6265 suffered a material adverse effect... 8o

Many thanks for the auction report!

What do you think, will be the impact on future Daytona prices?

Do you think that might, in a long term perspective, also affect the prices of the 165** series? Many thanks in advance!

Thanks man.

I call madness, though. But then again, I´m not that serious into vintage Rolex as you are.

Congrats on your purchases - if you´re happy, I am happy, too :dr:

Take care-
Nico

?

Under what concern has Rolex taken over PP ?

Probably not concerning prices.

I daresay there were Pateks that have been sold for several Mio. USD.

The Highlander.........LOL. You call yourself "The Highlander"...but you really recognized that someone else won? In the movie, the highlander was the last one and not the first loser or second winner.
