Maybe I will be the future owner of this watch.
A 5513 from 1966 which one, wasn t been polished or revised by Rolex again.
Can you please help me, and say to me if this 5513 is a fake or not :

Here the crown unscrew :

Here the back (really angular as some 1680) and the oyster bracelet :

Thank you

Jason, between the lower lugs, it states the serial number, which would be very important to determine the age of the watch, and it would allow you to call Rolex and verify the existence of the watch. Also, between the upper lugs it shows the reference number, in your case 5513. You may need a loupe to read these numbers.

Are you holding the watch in your hands, or are you trying to buy via internet? Feel free to PM me and I will help you to make sure you are not buying a fake.

The seller said that the watch hasn t been to a rolex center.
He is selling the watch for 2400€ (i don t know if I can post the price on the site).
What do you think about this offer ??

Man, if that thing is real, that price really beats everything I´ve seen lately.

You can see that it still retains the original tube and crown without the gasket.
This would not be the case had the watch been serviced resently.
Judging from these - sorry, not really good - pictures I would say the watch is genuine.

So, is it a good deal ??

2400 for a 5513 is like nothing

go 4 it

but be careful because the price sounds too good.

Assuming the watch is running, 2400 Euros is like dirtcheap, too good to be true. Are you sure the watch is not hot? I mean stolen? Something sounds not right with the price. A 5513 from 1966 in nice condition will command anywhere up from 4500 US Dollars. Be careful is all I can say, if a deal sounds too god to be true, I most likely is?????????????? If the seller puts this watch on Ebay, he may get 3500 Euros for it, so I am not sure why he would sell it so cheap...

Hi, so if this watch has never seen a rolex centre...
who changed the bracelet and who replaced the dial??, not sure about the hands.
Both def. not dated to 1966!
As the others already mentioned, BE CAREFUL the watch is not in 100% original condition from what I can see so far!

Indeed be careful,.. as stated... the dial isn't from '66.
As far as i know it should be a giltdial or a mtr's first dial from that area.
That can be changed with service... who knows.

Also open the watch,.. check the movement, inside of the caseback (should state something around 66. and 5513 (or maybe 5512).

The watch will need a good service,.. and if everything is legal and original you have a great find.
Try to find a nice giltdial,... and hands and revited strap, and you will have an fantastic watch!

BUT AGAIN, BE CAREFUL!

Good luck!
